Transfer (Change of Registrar)

To initiate the transfer of a .YT domain name you will be asked to provide an authorization code (AuthID).
You can obtain it from your current domain name's registrar.

A transfer usually takes 8 days (22 days if the losing registrar refuses the transfer request).

Once the transfer has been finalized, the domain name's expiration date is extended for a one year period starting from the date of the end of transfer.

Important:

  • The domain name should be in a transferable state, ie non-expired, not blocked out by the registrar.
  • The transfer must be confirmed by the domain name owner
